The staff at Florida formed a football team in 2006 and won the Driffield 6 a side league and cup the same year. The next season saw the team in a new kit sponsored by Florida Marquees and kit supplier Pineapple Joes from Bridlington. This kit became iconic and both players and fans bought replicas.

The new kit inspired the team to another league and cup double and all the trophies are on display at the Florida Marquees Spellowgate site.
